Integrating GenAI into Your Work ... Effectively & Ethically: April 24, Noon PT/3p ET
The AI train is leaving the station -- let's make sure you are on it.
If there has been a theme threaded across my work for the past two years it’s AI. I’d worked with people who knew people who worked in it, but then it crept closer. Younger, scrappier members on my team were pulling together large amounts of copy and iterating on designs faster than I could concept them. Gen AI tools became a base layer of good enough content and idea generation that we could iterate on and improve. I was free to do more strategic, creative work! And yet, seeing examples of Deep Fakes in the news terrified me.
Today, I’ve fully embraced leveraging AI as a productivity tool, though I admit that I still struggle with integrating it in a way that saves me time and enhances my output without a lot of trial and error. And, as a creator who built a business around compensating creators, I’m terrified of seeing my work absorbed into a collective LLM, where others may use my IP without my consent or compensation, and possibly with mal-intent. I’m also hugely optimistic (or pragmatic?) and convinced that not having a grasp on the benefits, drawbacks, and implications of AI could negatively impact one’s future opportunities.
In this month’s Optionality Webinar series we explore the benefits and drawbacks of Gen AI, and we extract the fundamentals needed for using it effectively and mindfully.
