My January was a little rough (including my first-ever bout of COVID, among other things), so I’m calling for a do-over. Can we agree that February is when 2025 really started?
The Optionality theme for the month is PIVOT! Not the Ross Gellar type, despite my all-caps and exclamation point (what up GenX?). No, we’re talking about navigating pivots, transitions, and new pathways in your career and life.
To kick the theme off,
and I spent the first #Conversationality of the month sharing one critical career pivot each. One of us shared a pivot from early in our career and one from much later. One shared about jumping from one industry to an entirely different industry. One about jumping from one organizational structure to a totally different structure (or lack thereof). One about building and expanding existing skill sets, and the other about learning completely new skills and concepts. All these transitions came with significant learnings…not just learning new things at work, but learning new things about ourselves and what we were capable of. We hope you enjoy it.
We go live with #Conversationality on LinkedIn every other Thursday at 1PM PT/4PM ET and send out the recording afterward. Follow Optionality on LinkedIn and join us live to comment and ask questions.
Want to hear more stories from people who have navigated significant new career paths? The decision-making processes, the mindset adjustments, and the practical considerations will all be up for grabs in our next webinar on 2/19/25 and then an Optionality IRL event later this month in Oakland, CA on 2/26/25.
Sign up for the 2/19 webinar.
