09/05/24 Conversationality: Meet Optionality member Rachael Lowell Ellison

Organizational psychologist, coach, creator of the SHIFT leadership framework

Optionality is a member-supported community. Please join us as a free or paid subscriber.

A few months ago, our guest for this Conversationality,

, published a guest Deep Dive post for us that became one of our most resonant posts yet. It addressed how to manage not just trauma instigated in the workplace but the trauma we’re all bringing with us to the workplace…especially after the roller coaster of the past 4+ years.

Now Rachael is launching a new 5-week course that includes 1:1 coaching and a customized leadership action plan (more about the opportunity here), so it seemed like a good time to have her join us and talk more about navigating trauma, how to address dysregulation, why communications among multiple generations in the workforce can be so fraught, her SHIFT framework for leadership, and more.

We cover a lot of ground and use a few personal stories (where I, in particular, don’t come out looking like the role model I wish I were) as examples.

Join us in two weeks for the next Conversationality, when our guest will be Optionality member Maria Ross talking about the launch of her latest book, The Empathy Dilemma. We stream live on LinkedIn every other Thursday at 1PM PT and then share via Substack.

If you have considered upgrading to Premium membership, now’s a great time. Our monthly Office Hours for Premium members is next week, and this month member Danielle Wiley will preview her latest learnings about how to improve outcomes from cold email outreach. No matter what we’re all doing, we all have to send that email that asks someone for something…cold. I, for one, can’t wait to learn from Danielle’s wisdom!
