Welcome to Conversationality
Every other week, Optionality’s co-founders Elisa Camahort Page and Jory Des Jardins (and occasional guests) will share a quick, topical, and timely audio conversation relevant to Optionality and the people who pursue it. Usually for Premium members only, this Conversationality is open to all!
What is this week’s conversation?
The jumping-off point for this week’s conversation was inspired by our February webinar about fractional leadership. Optionality advisor and Harris Poll CEO
shared some recent Harris Poll data about how knowledge workers are currently thinking about pay, purpose, and at the core…how they feel about their power in the workplace. Optionality member was so intrigued that she reached out and proposed doing a bit of a deeper dive into the data and getting more perspective on the current tension between employer and employee in a post-lockdown world. We’re happy to host this conversation with Joanna as interviewer of both John and his colleague, The Harris Poll Chief Strategy Officer, Libby Rodney.Mentioned in the episode:

So, do you think your employer needs you more than you need them? Would you sacrifice pay for purpose? Has Gen Z’s experience entering the workforce left them with the kind of work-life priorities other generations only realized they wanted late-career?
Coming next
Don’t miss our next member webinar about Managing the Anxiety of an Optionality-Driven Life. An optionality-driven life can bring freedom...and fear. It allows for balance...and pushes buttons around boundaries. We’re so thrilled to get practical advice and discuss useful tactics for managing anxiety with two experts working at the intersection of mental health and work, Minaa B and Morra Aarons-Mele. Register here and join us on Wednesday May 22 at 12PM PT/3PM ET.
Until next time…
